Kelly Hewett

Spin / Group Fitness

I love group fitness, MMA, biking, running, swimming, really I have done loads of physical challenges and activities too numerous to mention. I joined the Infantry when I was 17 instead of going to college to study architecture, I instead pursued a childhood dream job. After nearly 10 years of that I my dream job succumbed to multiple injuries. During my service I grew to love group fitness, we trained mostly in body weight resistance, I became a master fitness instructor and have never looked back.

I also rode bikes nearly every day back in Tennessee for fitness and fun, I completed a couple of races, and now enjoy teaching bike fitness to folks in spin class. I miss the days of those great Army Infantry obstacle courses, but I take my love of fitness for life to Inferno where I have been blessed in being allowed to teach classes. I have also gotten back into MMA, in the Infantry we trained in mixed martial arts, or Combatives, combing not just weapons but the body as a weapon so as to complete the mission, lest I be the lone survivor mindset. Rather intense, but necessary considering the job.

I also served as a Police Officer for nearly 10 years where I again pursued a mixed martial arts type instructor training for officers to use while on their beat. I am now in my "grown up" job, after nearly 20 years of adrenaline junkie jobs, I am raising a family with  the love of my life, Angie Hewett, we have two boys and three German Shepherd Dogs, Hansel, Gretel und Gretchen.

Michaela Brannan

Exercise Specialist

Growing up as a four sport athlete has helped me to recognize the importance of strength, conditioning and nutrition. My entire life I have had an unwavering desire to be healthy, as well as a great athelete, and my activities have become my life habits.

As a former collegiate soccer player, I specialize in working with athletes; however, if you are simply looking to tone up, drop a few pounds, or motivation to get to the gym, then I want to help! As a trainer, I believe that if you, the client, are raising your own level of performance, then I am doing my job. I am looking foward to meeting you and helping you attain your goals.

As a result of a four year degree in Exercise Science, I have a thorough understanding of exercise physiology, experience in and ability to perform fitness assessments including: resting and exercise blood pressure and heart rate, body composition using skin fold calipers, and muscular strength and endurance testing.

Pat Talbot

Yoga / Hot Yoga / Power Yoga / Vinyasa Yoga / Pilates / Group Fitness / Cycling

My Yoga journey began back in 1993 when I moved to Arkansas.  I started practicing and studying various Yoga traditions including Power Yoga/Ashtanga, Hatha Yoga and Iyengar  to overcome low back pain.  Little did I realize that these baby steps would open my heart, reveal the passion I have for Yoga and guide me to share this passion with everyone that is willing to join me.

Hooked on Yoga I decided I wanted to share the many benefits I was enjoying, so June 2003, I became a Certified Yoga instructor so that I could start sharing my love and passion for Yoga to everyone..

To compliment my Yoga practice, I became Pilates certified November 2006.  Pilates and Yoga compliment each other.  Pilates focuses  mainly on core strength, and with a strong core Yoga poses can be held much longer and stronger.  I also hold an indoor cycling certification and there is nothing better than a Yoga class after an intense cycling class to stretch out those muscles.

In 2009, I began another journey – Hot Yoga.  In a very short time you will begin to feel the benefits of the heat combined with all the Yoga benefits.  It’s truly a blessing and a path that I want to share.

I continue to expand my horizons, knowledge and techniques by attending classes, keeping abreast of trends, taking courses whenever possible.  Learning never ends, just like there is no end to a pose. I truly love teaching various Yoga classes including Hot Yoga, Power Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Yoga with weights, and a combined Yoga/Pilates class.  I take my Yoga seriously but do enjoy having fun with it and try to design each class according to the students and their needs.

My teaching style is joyful, compassionate and lighthearted.  My mission is to encourage and empower everyone to follow their own path through this wonderful journey of life whether it’s through Yoga, Hot Yoga, Pilates or any combination.  I am committed to helping my students uncover their own inherent ability to heal and find peace. My hope is that my passion and love for Yoga comes through in all my classes and inspires everyone to join me so I can share the never ending gifts of Yoga.

My Yoga practice has brought me into greater alignment with my mind, body and soul.  I am better able to handle the stresses in my life with more patience, better perspective and I’ve become more accepting of where I am at in various areas in my life.  I have become more flexible, stronger and more focused than I have ever been.  I know this will happen to you.

I believe in giving back to my students, so in the fall of 2008 I put on my first annual It’z OK Yoga Retreat.  It’s a weekend event where I offer numerous different classes free of charge. Also, in 2009 I put together the first annual Yoga 4 the Cure, a 1 ½ hour outdoor Yoga Class to raise funds for cancer, honoring those that have lost, won or are fighting this horrible battle.

I am blessed and honored to provide a pathway to a healthier mind, body and spirit, bringing more happiness to this journey we are all on.  I invite you to join me on this fantastic journey at this wonderful facility.

I am very passionate about Yoga and I enjoy helping everyone.  Together we can do it, one breath at a time, one pose at a time, one stretch at a time, one day at a time.
